For the first tim in 45 years, the Steelers have started the season 0-4. The Vikings avoided the same ignominy in London, jumping out by double digits early and hanging on down the stretch.
Vikings vs. Steelers: Fan Reaction

Julian FinneyNigel Coolong of Behind the Steel Curtain believes a lot of the Steelers’ offensive woes can be traced to Pittsburgh left tackle Mike Adams:
The Vikings and Steelers will both be on byes in Week 5.

Jamie McDonaldMinnesota led 34-17 before the Steelers managed to close the gap late in the game, but it was not enough as Peterson ran down the clock to seal the win. Big Ben leaves London still looking for his first win.
Cassel threw for 248 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Both of those scores went to Jennings, who finished with three catches for 92 yards. Peterson ran for 140 yards and two touchdowns of his own.

Jamie McDonaldUnfortunately, the running back for the other team is pretty good too.
Bell’s 3.1 yards per carry is slightly better than the 3.0 yards per carry that Pittsburgh came in with as a team. He’s been an improvement, perhaps, but the Steelers may have to abandon the run down 17 points. Meanwhile, Peterson probably gets more carries as Minnesota tries to milk the clock with the lead.

Harry EngelsThe score was more significant than it initially appeared, as the touchdown was the first rushing score the Steelers have had since Week 15 of 2012. The normally hard-nosed offense has collapsed on the run while waiting for its second-round pick to be ready.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY SportsMost of the work was done by Jennings, who ran most of the 70 yards on his own as he cut and slashed through the defense, but nonetheless, Cassel already has half as many touchdown passes this year as Ponder.
Getting help like that from Jennings is a good start.

Leon HalipPonder was, unsurprisingly, disappointed with the decision. Via the Pioneer Press:
Ponder is completing 59 percent of his passes this season, and has 691 yards passing through three games. He also has just two touchdown passes to five interceptions. Unfortunately for Vikings fans, little suggests that Cassel will be a significant improvement. He had a disastrous stint with the Chiefs. In nine games last season, Cassel complete 58.1 percent of passes for 1,796 yards, six touchdowns, 12 interceptions and six lost fumbles.

Justin K. AllerNot everyone has the steel curtain mentality of CBS Sports, however. The football gurus at SB Nation are split down the middle with the Steelers picked to win by three of five contributors. ESPN also favors the land of 1,000 lakes a bit more, but not by much. Eight out of 13 writers picked the Steelers to win, but the compilation of votes from the ESPN Pigskin Pick ‘Em favors the Vikings.
So, according to a bunch of people, the Steelers are traveling a long ways to pick up their very first win of the season and avoid becoming the first team to start the season 0-4 in 45 years.

Justin K. AllerThe Steelers and the Vikings have really set the stage for a fantastic game in Week 4. As the first of two games to take place in Wembley Stadium in London, the NFL probably had a bit more excitement a few weeks ago. Now, the only game between two winless teams this week will take place in London, and to make matters worse -- this game is a pick ‘em.
According to Oddshark.com, the Steelers and Vikings have the uncommon spread of no points, and it hasn’t gone up or down since then. There might be some sports book somewhere in America that has a bit of a different spread, but it most likely won’t be that much farther off.
