Christian Ponder injury: Leslie Frazier wants Vikings QB to play Sunday
The Vikings coaching staff is showing public support for their injured quarterback entering their Week 4 game against the Steelers in London.
If Ponder is unable to play, his backup Matt Cassel would be the starter against Pittsburgh in their game at Wembley Stadium in London. Cassel has plenty of starting experience and was the starter in Kansas City as recently as last season, but Ponder is getting support from the coaching staff despite his uneven performance over the last three weeks. Frazier expects to name a starter for Sunday's game on Friday.
The Vikings and Steelers will clash in London on Sunday in their Week 4 matchup at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
