Giants injuries: Absence of David Baas, Chris Snee leaves NY O-line inexperienced

The Giants’ offensive line could have several new faces on Sunday against the Chiefs.

The Giants could be without three veteran offensive linemen on Sunday against the Chiefs. Guard Chris Snee (hip) and center David Baas (neck) both missed practice on Thursday with injuries, according to Long Island Newsday's Tom Rock. Fellow guard David Diehl did practice but is still recovering from a thumb injury, per Rock.

If Snee, Bass and Diehl are unable to perform in Week 4, the Giants' offensive line will be extremely inexperienced. Third-year player Jim Cordle would likely take over for Baas at center, while the lineup would also include first-year guard Brandon Mosley and rookie tackle Justin Pugh. Those three players have appeared in only 32 combined games and just three starts. However, the rest of the offensive line would feature veterans, with left tackle William Beatty and left guard Kevin Boothe.

The lack of offensive line cohesion will not help the already struggling Eli Manning, who has thrown eight interceptions in just three games. It also will be a hindrance to a suspect running game featuring David Wilson, Da'Rel Scott and an aging Brandon Jacobs. The Giants are currently 0-3.

The Chiefs will host the Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
