The Giants are 0-4 for the first time since the 1987 season as Eli Manning was unable to lead his team back from a three-point halftime deficit. The Chiefs used a methodical offense to reach the elusive 4-0 mark, the organization's best start since 2003.
Inconsistency doomed a Giants’ offense that saw big gains and stalled drives. Manning didn’t help his team enough, giving up costly turnovers on multiple occasions.
New York finished 1-of-13 on third down, the team badly hurt by a weak rushing attack that's been an ongoing issue. David Wilson managed just 55 yards rushing, while the Giants' defense was unable to pressure Smith, sacking him once.
Smith threw his first and second interceptions of the season, but the mistakes weren’t enough to derail the offense. He’s used to playing the role of game manager and mitigating the mistakes of his teammates, but on Sunday it was the ancillary cast who stepped up for Smith.
A freak interception was quickly shrugged off as Dexter McCluster returned a punt 89-yards for a touchdown, securing the victory. This was followed by two more Alex Smith touchdown passes to put the exclamation point on the day.
Injury Update
The Giants lost two defensive ends late in the game with both Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul leaving the field.

Victor Cruz had an excellent day, despite the Giants' loss. He finished with 164 yards receiving and a touchdown.
