Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing was taken into the locker room on Sunday and is being evaluated for a possible concussion. The Texans official Twitter account has announced that he is out for the rest of the game.
Brian Cushing injury: Texans LB out with concussion
Houston’s top linebacker is out for the rest of the game as they hold on to a 7-point lead against Seattle.

The Texans led the Seahawks 20-6 in the fourth quarter when Cushing left the game. On the ensuing defensive drive, the Seahawks drove 98 yards to score a touchdown to make it 20-13. Cushing leads the Texans in tackles on Sunday, with nine solo tackles and a forced fumble.
One of the leaders of the Texans defense, Cushing was placed in injured reserve last year after five games and his absence, much like it was as the Seahawks scored their first touchdown of the game, was obvious. Cushing has 19 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, and one interception returned for a touchdown this season. While J.J. Watt gets most of the coverage as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Cushing's presence may be just as important.
