Percy Harvin injury: Seahawks WR not yet cleared from concussion, per Pete Carroll

Percy Harvin is still on the mend, putting his status for the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers on Sunday in jeopardy.

Percy Harvin still has yet to be cleared from the concussion he suffered last weekend during the Seattle Seahawks' win over the New Orleans Saints, head coach Pete Carroll said Thursday. Harvin has to be medically cleared by a team doctor and an unaffiliated concussion expert physician before he can take the field against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday.

Harvin was knocked out against the Saints after taking a pair of big hits during the first half. He was making just his second appearance for the Seahawks this season after sitting out until mid-November to recovery from hip surgery, then promptly going back to the bench after suffering a setback.

The Seahawks have made do without Harvin in the lineup, earning the No. 1 seed with a 13-3 record during the regular season and now coming within just one win of advancing to the Super Bowl. Still, the Seahawks gave up three draft picks, including a first-rounder, to the Minnesota Vikings to acquire Harvin this past offseason for good reason. Harvin is arguably one of the most dynamic players in the NFL, and he could have a game-changing impact Sunday if healthy.
