NFC Championship game 2014 injury report: NaVorro Bowman, Mike Iupati hurt
The 49ers lost the game and two of their best players on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
In the process, the 49ers watched two of their marquee players be taken off the field on a cart. Both guard Mike Iupati and inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman needed assistance after being hurt in the first and second halves respectively.
Iupati was hurt on an Anthony Dixon 1-yard touchdown run, staying on the ground for minutes before limping off and getting onto a cart. Iupati was listed as having an ankle injury. Bowman was hurt while trying to recover a fumble at the 1-yard line, having his leg landed on.
It’s feared Bowman suffered a torn ACL on the play, which could affect his 2014 season, per FOX Sports. Iupati will undergo further testing to determine the severity of his issue.
