Four teams are on bye in Week 5, including the undefeated Carolina Panthers and recently disastrous Miami Dolphins, but that still leaves 14 games to be played.
NFL scores 2015: Follow all the Week 5 action from Sunday
Andy Dalton and the Bengals came back for an overtime win against the Seahawks. Then on Sunday night, the Giants beat the 49ers on a spectacular last-minute touchdown grab by tight end Larry Donnell.
The first of those games came on Thursday night, when flu-ridden Matt Hasselbeck led the Indianapolis Colts to a 27-20 victory over the Houston Texans that improved the Colts to 3-2 and was an NFL-record 16th straight victory over divisional opponents.
The Denver Broncos had a chance to extend a similar level of divisional dominance on Sunday, when they made it eight straight wins over the Oakland Raiders. The last time the Raiders beat the Broncos was September 2011, and since then, the Broncos have won 21 of 23 games against AFC West teams, as well as a playoffs victory over the San Diego Chargers in January 2014. Denver won the game, 16-10.
Before that divisional matchup between the Raiders and Broncos kicked off at 4:25 p.m. ET, there were eight games at 1 p.m. ET, including a high-profile matchup of the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals. After a pair of losses to start the season, the Seahawks earned back-to-back wins to even their record at 2-2, but faced a tall task on the road against the undefeated Bengals.
After four straight losses in the Wild Card round of the postseason, the Bengals have doubters that won't be shaken until Andy Dalton proves he can take them further, but the fifth-year quarterback is playing at a much higher level than he ever has in his career and leads the NFL in yards per attempt.
After the Seahawks built a lead, the Bengals came back to tie it at the last second, sending the game to overtime where the Bengals won 27-24. A win against the highly touted Seattle secondary could go a long way toward changing the narrative that Dalton is nothing more than a game manager for the Bengals.
Minutes later, the Falcons and Washington also headed to overtime, where Atlanta won with a walkoff pick-six.
The Bengals are one of six undefeated teams through the first four weeks. The Green Bay Packers improved 5-0 in the early slate of games with a home win against the St. Louis Rams.
In the second group of games, CBS split its coverage between the Broncos vs. Raiders and a game between the New England Patriots and Brandon Weeden-led Dallas Cowboys. New England won that game, 30-6. The Arizona Cardinals also dominated the Detroit Lions, and Matthew Stafford was benched it got so bad.
On Sunday night, the San Francisco 49ers looked to bounce back from three consecutive losses with a showdown against the New York Giants. The Giants got their third straight win in a thriller, however, when Eli Manning hit tight end Larry Donnell for a last-second touchdown and a 30-27 win.
