Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is officially active for the team’s Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns. Brown continues to play through a hamstring injury.
John Brown is active for Cardinals in Week 8
One of Carson Palmer’s favorite targets will be in the lineup Sunday.

Brown suffered the injury a few weeks ago, although he has yet to miss a game because of it. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to get in a limited session on Friday and was listed as questionable for the game. The Cardinals hinted at giving Brown the week off ahead of their Week 9 bye, but he’ll try to give it another go. Playing on the same sore hamstring last week, Brown recorded four catches for 65 yards and a touchdown in Monday night’s win over the Baltimore Ravens.
A third-round pick out of tiny Pittsburg State in 2014, Brown is enjoying a breakout in his second season. Through seven games, Brown has 37 catches for 562 yards and three touchdowns. He’s been a big part of the Cardinals’ explosive offense, which ranks sixth in the league in passing yards per game. Despite being less than 100 percent, Brown remains a formidable matchup for the Browns’ 15th-ranked pass defense.
