Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals and was replaced by Johnny Manziel. McCown was hit very hard by Cardinals linebacker Kevin Minter and was being looked at by the trainers on the sideline. He sat on the bench and continued to be evaluated, but went back in to the game and stayed in until the fourth quarter.
Johnny Manziel replaces Josh McCown after rib injury vs. Cardinals
Manziel suffered an apparent shoulder injury early in the game but stayed in until the fourth quarter.

He was eventually replaced by Manziel, though head coach Mike Pettine said after the game that it was a ribs injury, not a shoulder injury that forced McCown out of the game, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
McCown has been dealing with a shoulder injury for some time now. He ran into a wall in the team's game against the St. Louis Rams and was clearly uncomfortable for the remainder of that game. His status for Sunday's game against Arizona was up in the air until game time as he was listed as questionable on the injury report.
McCown had completed 18 of 34 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns with an interception prior to going down with the injury. He has shown flashes of brilliance for the Browns this season, completing 66.8 percent of his passes for 1,686 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions going into Sunday’s game.
Manziel has played in three games this season, completing 25 of 44 passes for 381 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
