Eli Manning and Drew Brees paired up for the most prolific passing day in NFL history when a seventh touchdown of the day for Brees upped their combined total to a league-record 13 touchdowns.
Drew Brees, Eli Manning combine for most passing TDs ever in a game
Brees is the eighth player in NFL history to throw seven touchdown passes in a game.
Brees, 36, tied a personal record with his sixth touchdown pass of the game in the third quarter, but broke that and tied the all-time record with his seventh touchdown, a game-tying, 9-yard pass to C.J. Spiller. He becomes the eighth person to reach the mark, with no player ever throwing eight touchdowns in a game.

Manning broke a personal record with his sixth touchdown of the day that tied the game at 42-42 before Brees led the team down the field to tie the game at 49-49 following a fumble recovery that was returned for a touchdown.
Brees nearly doubled his touchdown total for the season after entering Week 8 with only eight touchdowns in six games. He dealt with a shoulder injury earlier in the year that forced him to sit for one game, but hadn’t thrown more than two touchdown passes in his first six starts of the season.
The previous record for touchdown passes in a game came in 1969 when the Saints and St. Louis Cardinals combined for 12 touchdowns thanks to six touchdowns each from Billy Kilmer and Charley Johnson.
The big day for Brees upped his career total to 411 touchdowns, just one behind Tom Brady who passed him on the all-time list earlier this season. Both are quickly catching up to Dan Marino, who finished his career with the Miami Dolphins with 420 touchdowns.
Manning moved up from No. 12 to No. 10 in passing touchdowns, passing both Joe Montana and Vinny Testaverde on Sunday by increasing his career total from 270 to 276.
