The St. Louis Rams took steps to make the Edward Jones Dome safer in Week 10 by covering the concrete ring around the field that has caused injuries, including a season-ending MCL tear for Reggie Bush, with rubber.
Rams cover concrete ring after Reggie Bush’s season-ending injury
The concrete in the Edward Jones Dome that injured Reggie Bush and Josh McCown is covered with rubber now.

Bush is reportedly set to sue St. Louis for the safety hazard that resulted in his injury and Browns quarterback Josh McCown suffered a shoulder injury when he slipped on the concrete. Earlier in November, the Rams reportedly asked the NFL to allow them to cover the concrete.
The solution for the Rams was a layer of blue rubber around the edge of the field:

— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) November 15, 2015 The Edward Jones Dome opened in 1995 and the Rams moved in after a relocation from Los Angeles. While the concrete has been around the field for the last two decades, it was cast into the spotlight after injuries in 2015. Two weeks ago, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said that fixing the issue was a priority, despite the fact that it hadn’t been an issue in the past.
“This is their deal,” Fisher said on Nov. 2. “Player safety is of the utmost importance, so we don’t want to have any issues. We’re going to do whatever we need to do to make sure we don’t have an issue with it.”
The Rams lost an away game to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 and will return home for a game against the Chicago Bears in Week 10.
