With the No. 30 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers selected Arizona State safety Damarious Randall. Randall was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2014 and a two-year starter with Arizona State.
NFL Draft Picks 2015: Damarious Randall taken by Packers at No. 30
Green Bay nabs the safety out of Arizona State with its first round pick.

Randall finished his career with Sun Devils with 177 tackles, 15 of which were for a loss, and six interceptions. He also had two defensive touchdowns, one in each of his two seasons, and six total interceptions.
Randall is somewhat undersized for an NFL safety, but he’s an excellent athlete with good speed and strength. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he was among the top performers at his position in multiple drills. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds, the three-cone drill in 6.83 seconds, the 20-yard shuttle in 4.07 seconds and also posted a vertical leap of 38 inches and a broad jump of 120 inches. He put up 14 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press.
Green Bay has a desperate need for a starting safety, and Randall should be able to step in and fill that role. He’s a little raw, but the Packers don’t have the luxury of sitting him behind a veteran at this point.
