The last time the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks met, the result was one of the most memorable finishes in NFL history. The two NFC frontrunners take the field again on Sunday Night Football in what may prove a pivotal early-season game for the conference.

The rematch of last season’s NFC title game takes over primetime.
The Seahawks fell flat in Week 1, losing to the division rival St. Louis Rams in overtime. Seattle could not muster much production on offense, with Marshawn Lynch posting a rather pedestrian stat line of 18 carries for 73 yards (an average of 4.1 yards per carry) and no scores. Quarterback Russell Wilson had a similarly forgettable day, tossing a touchdown and a pick.
However, the 31 points allowed in regulation proved more troubling for the Seahawks, who played without All-Pro safety Kam Chancellor. Seattle allowed 30 or more points just twice last season, each time to a team with a winning record. The Rams, who finished 6-10 last year, put up 34 points on Seattle counting the overtime period. The Seahawks need to rebound quickly, as their Week 2 opponent possesses a far more potent offensive attack.
Green Bay took care of business in their season opener, dispatching the Chicago Bears, 31-23. Aaron Rodgers looks to have reclaimed his old form now that the torn calf muscle that hindered him near the end of 2014 has healed. Rodgers threw three touchdown passes last week, including two to recently signed wide receiver James Jones.
While the Packers' offense looks strong coming out of the gates, their defense struggled, allowing an undermanned Bears offense to produce over 400 yards. Further complicating matters, starting inside linebacker Sam Barrington could miss Sunday's game with an ankle injury. However, the defense should get a boost from Datone Jones, who returns off a one-game suspension.
