Jay Cutler hurt himself trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Bears announced that Cutler would miss the rest of the game with a hamstring injury. On Monday, Bears head coach John Fox told reporters that it’s just a strain and said it’s too early to know if Jimmy Clausen will be the team’s starter against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.
“Anytime it’s not really severe, it’s good news,” Fox said.
Cutler tried to make a diving tackle on the play, which is generally inadvisable for quarterbacks to attempt. Cutler was escorted to the locker room and Jimmy Clausen took over as the starting quarterback.
Clausen is Cutler's primary backup, with David Fales behind him. Cutler is coming off a game in which he completed just 50 percent of his passes for 225 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Clausen played in four games last season for Chicago, throwing for just 223 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He played in 13 games for the Carolina Panthers all the way back in 2010, with three touchdowns and nine interceptions.
