Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso left Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys with a left knee injury. It's unclear what exactly happened and when he sustained the injury, but the team announced he would not return to the game.
Kiko Alonso’s season could be ‘in jeopardy’ following knee injury, per report
Kiko Alonso injured his knee against the Dallas Cowboys and now his season could be in jeopardy, according to one report.

After tests on Monday, there is a possibility that Alonso could miss an extended amount of time, perhaps even a full season due to the knee injury, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. His season is “in jeopardy,” though there is still “some evaluation and conversation that needs to to take place” before a decision is reached, Garafolo qualified.
The injury is to the same leg in which he sustained a torn ACL last year. That injury kept him out of the entire 2014 season for the Buffalo Bills, and was one of the reasons many felt like the Eagles were taking a big risk by tradingLeSean McCoy for Alonso this offseason.
Alonso also suffered a concussion in practice earlier in the offseason, and missed preseason action with a “nagging” knee injury. It’s unclear if that’s related in some way. He wasn’t looking great in Sunday’s game before going down with the injury, missing a crucial third down tackle.
DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks were set to take the majority of the snaps with Alonso out, and then Kendricks also went down with an injury to his left hamstring. Philadelphia originally listed him as questionable to return, and then declared him out in the third quarter.
Alonso is one of the best linebackers in the league when healthy, or at least he was in his rookie season with the Bills. After they made him a second-round pick, he put up 159 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and four interceptions while playing in all 16 games.
