Jets vs. Colts 2015 picks and predictions: Experts favoring Indianapolis to rebound, win in Week 2

Most experts feel like the Colts will pick up a win over the Jets on “Monday Night Football.”

The New York Jets have a chance to open the year with a 2-0 record, and all they have to do is defy most expert predictions and expectations heading into the 2015-16 regular season. So in other words, they have to do exactly what the Buffalo Bills did in Week 1: beat Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts against the odds.

Indianapolis was taken by surprise by Tyrod Taylor and the Bills. Luck had a bad game, he didn't get any help from his running game, and the Colts' defense couldn't stop Buffalo. The Jets, on the other hand, came out of Week 1 with a win, beating the Cleveland Browns from start to finish. Now, the Browns are a whole lot different than the Colts, but the Jets had a game plan and that game plan might also work well against the Colts.

Buffalo put up 147 rushing yards against the Colts, and New York managed 154 rushing yards against the Browns They'll be hoping Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell can combine for that total again. Ivory managed 91 rushing yards as the starter, with Powell adding 62 yards. That will be the primary gameplan for attacking the Colts, with Ryan Fitzpatrick assuming the role as game manager with Geno Smith still sidelined.

Indianapolis surely won’t take this all lying down, of course. Luck completed 26 of 49 passes for 243 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 1, but he’s a strong candidate to rebound in this game. You can expect more out of the running game this time around, and you can expect Luck to clean up those bad, bad interceptions.

Over at CBS Sports, they certainly expect the Colts to rebound, with all eight experts picking Indianapolis straight up. At ESPN, the Jets had a little love, with nine of the 13 experts picking the Colts, leaving four picking New York.

Here at SB Nation, the experts weren't quite as divided. Only PFT Commenter is picking the Jets, with the other six experts, plus OddsShark, picking the Colts to win it.
