PLAYOFF FOOTBALL: It’s finally here! Saturday features an AFC doubleheader. First up at 4:35 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN is the Chiefs at Texans. Kansas City is favored by 3.5 points, but Houston’s been surprising teams all season long. The Chiefs haven’t won a playoff game since Jan. 1994.
It’s been a really long time since the Bengals and Chiefs won a playoff game
Neither of these teams have won a playoff game since the early 1990s, but that could change on Saturday.

The AJ McCarron-led Bengals host Ben Roelisberger and the Steelers at 8:15 p.m. ET on CBS. Cincinnati is a 2.5-point underdog. But the Bengals are a deep team that could give the Steelers defense real problems. The Bengals haven’t won a playoff game since Jan. 1991, and no team has gone longer without a postseason win.

PLACE YOUR BETS: So, which teams should you bet on this weekend? Here’s some helpful advice!
WHO WILL WIN: Wild Card picks. Our panel overwhelmingly favors the Chiefs to beat the Texans on Saturday, but the other AFC game, Steelers at Bengals, has the group divided.
NO BEAST, NO PROBLEM: Marshawn Lynch is out, but Christine Michael is ready. The Seahawks won’t have Beast Mode in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, but it looks like they have another backup who’s ready to make a difference.
ALL THE BACKUP RUNNING BACKS: Big weekend for backup running backs. Half the teams playing this weekend are leaning on backup running backs. Can the Chiefs, Texans, Steelers and Seahawks get by without their starters?
NIGHTMARE MATCHUP: Tyler Eifert is the Steelers’ worst nightmare. It’s almost impossible for defenses to match up against the Bengals tight end.
BACK TO BASICS: The Texans aim to keep it simple against the Chiefs. Houston defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel shared some insight into his remarkably simple game plan for stopping the Chiefs on Wild Card Weekend.
NEW LIONS GM: Lions will hire Bob Quinn as new general manager. Quinn is a 15-year veteran of the Patriots front office. His first job, deciding Jim Caldwell’s fate. Check out the guy’s resume.
DOLPHINS COACH: The Dolphins have zeroed in on Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase to fill their head coaching vacancy.
EAGLES COACHING SEARCH: The Eagles are going to interview Tom Coughlin. Tom Coughlin might stick around the NFC East after all, if his Monday interview in Philadelphia goes well. Keep up with all the NFL coaching rumors with our handy tracker.
MACK DADDY: Khalil Mack is the first player to be a first-team All-Pro at two positions. Mack made the first team at two different positions, while both J.J. Watt and Adrian Peterson were unanimous selections.
SAME OLD BROWNS: How analytics divided the Browns. Did the Browns’ analytical approach create a behind-the-scenes conflict not between former head coach Mike Pettine and former GM Ray Farmer, but with them teaming up against the duo of Sashi Brown and Alec Scheiner? It looks like they made smart hires this time around, but a look back on the Browns’ history makes you wonder.
LOS ANGELES: The hot rumor lately is that the Rams and Chargers will end up shacking up together in Stan Kroenke’s Inglewood stadium. But the Chargers say they’re still committed to the Carson project.
