The Seattle Seahawks had a tough outing last week against the Green Bay Packers. A pair of hits cost Richard Sherman and K.J. Wright $18,231 and $48,620 respectively, as they were both fined by the NFL, according to ProFootballTalk. The fines were greater, as both players were repeat offenders.

They cost more because it wasn’t the first time, either.

Sherman delivered a hit on Davante Adams that he was not flagged for during the game.
Linebacker K.J. Wright let his frustrations get the better of him when he nearly decapitated tight end Richard Rodgers in the third quarter.
Rodgers found a way to hold on to the third-and-4 pass, giving the Packers first-and-goal from the Seattle 6-yard line. A personal foul penalty on Wright moved Green Bay to the 3-yard line, where it only took one play to convert Wright’s mistake into six points.
Rodgers absorbed the hit and didn’t miss a single play of his team’s drive. With starter Jared Cook nursing a sore ankle, the three-year veteran is the team’s last healthy and active tight end.
The fines will only continue to grow, as more hits are delivered.
