Going down 2-0 in their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series to the New York Rangers would be a tough hole for the Ottawa Senators to climb out of, but Nick Foligno's late third period goal gave the East's No. 7 seed a bit of hope in Game 2.
Rangers Vs. Senators, NHL Playoffs 2012 Game 2: Nick Foligno’s Late Goal Sends Game To Overtime
Foligno was left alone in front of the net, where a slow rolling puck must have looked like a beach ball. Henrik Lundqvist could do nothing as his defensemen stared and watched Foligno deposit the puck into the back of the net.
The teams head to overtime tied at two goals apiece, but the Senators will have to get by without captain Daniel Alfredsson, who left the game with what's presumed to be a head injury after taking an elbow from Rangers forward Carl Hagelin.
