Blackhawks Vs. Coyotes, NHL Playoffs 2012 Game 4: Chicago, Phoenix Still Scoreless At End Of Second

Thursday night's Blackhawks vs. Coyotes game has provided plenty of things, but scoring has not been one of them. After two periods of Game 4 of the quarterfinals, Chicago and Phoenix remain locked in a scoreless tie.

We’ve seen a pair of fights, one of which led to Paul Bissonnette’s dismissal from the game after failing to secure his jersey with a fighting strap. In puck-centric matters, the Blackhawks are giving themselves more chances to score, having made 23 shots on goal to the Coyotes’ 10. Phoenix leads in hits, 31-21, but the two teams remain roughly even in most other statistical departments.

The third period is set to begin. We’ll see whether Phoenix can spring out to a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.
