Antti Niemi wins the shootout in style, robs Todd Bertuzzi

The best way to win a shootout? With a save of the year candidate.

The first two games on Monday night belonged to the goaltenders.

While Jean-Sebastien Giguere was stealing a game for Colorado, the Red Wings and Sharks skated to a scoreless tie through regulation and overtime and needed a shootout to decide their game in Detroit.

San Jose's Logan Couture scored the only goal in the shootout and Antti Niemi wrapped it up with this incredible pad save on Todd Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi has always been a great option in the shootout for Detroit and has some incredible hands, and all of that was on display here.

Niemi was just a little bit better.

The Sharks improved to 8-0-1 with the win, giving them a league-best 17 points in the standings.
