The Edmonton Oilers have traded forward Mike Brown to the San Jose Sharks for a 2014 fourth-round draft pick.

Brown, 28, is known more for his toughness, willingness to fight and tremendous mustache than anything else and has yet to record a point in eight games with the Oilers this season. As far as fighters go, he has a bit more skill and hockey ability than most enforcers, but he still shouldn't be counted on to be any sort of a difference maker in the Sharks' lineup.
“Mike plays a speed game and fits the ‘Fast, Hard and Supportive’ mantra that our team wants to play with,” Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in a team statement. “He is a player with tremendous character, knows the Western Conference well and brings a tough, physical ingredient to our line-up.”
Edmonton initially acquired Brown from the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
In 289 career games with the Canucks, Ducks, Maple Leafs and Oilers, Brown has scored 15 goals to go with 11 assists while recording 591 penalty minutes. He's been involved in 72 regular season fights at the NHL level according to Hockeyfights.com
