Benoit Pouliot ejected for boarding Max Talbot

New York’s Benoit Pouliot was ejected for boarding Max Talbot on Thursday night.

New York Rangers forward Benoit Pouliot was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct in the second period of Thursday's game for boarding Max Talbot.

Talbot fell awkwardly into the boards, with his neck bending in ways the human neck is not supposed to bend. He had to be helped off the ice and was taken to the locker room.

The NHL has had to deal with quite a few hits from behind over the past couple of weeks, with Colorado’s Cody McLeod and St. Louis’ Maxim Lapierre receiving five-game suspensions for their hits. It should be interesting to see how the league views this one.
