Somebody forgot to cover John Tavares
The Nashville Predators forgot John Tavares is the most dangerous player on the ice. It did not go very well for them.
In the first period of Tuesday's game against Nashville, the Predators penalty kill seemed to forget about this and somehow left him wide open in the slot.
Guess what happened on that play? If you went with “Tavares scored his eighth goal of the season,” you would be correct. This what it looked like.
Not exactly the best way to help out rookie goaltender Marek Mazanec.
