Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick had to leave Tuesday's game in Buffalo with less than two minutes to play in overtime after suffering an injury while making a rare save in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Jonathan Quick had a slow night, but he still had to leave in overtime due to an injury.

Prior to leaving, Quick had to face just 16 shots through 63 minutes of hockey. He stopped 14 of them. He was replaced by backup Ben Scrivens, who surrendered two goals (Cody Hodgson, Tyler Ennis) in the shootout.
It was a strange game, as the Kings badly outplayed Buffalo for most of the night (including a dominating first period) but could not beat Sabres goalie Ryan Miller. Miller stopped 43 of the 45 shots he faced in regulation and overtime, and all three shots in the shootout.
Quick was injured while trying to protect the post and slid awkwardly into it, suffering what appeared to be a leg injury. Even though Quick hasn’t been the same since his Conn Smythe performance in the 2012 playoffs, it would still be quite a loss if he has to miss any time.
