Kris Versteeg injury: Panthers’ forward hurts knee after hit from Radko Gudas

His knee wil be evaluated tomorrow, according to the Panthers’ coach.

It has not been a good season for Kris Versteeg. The Panthers' forward has only played in seven of Florida's 24 games this year due to rib and groin injuries and only just returned to the ice tonight.

Unfortunately for Florida, he's back off of it again. Versteeg left the game after injuring his knee on a hit from recent Lightning call-up Radko Gudas. The hit looked clean, but Versteeg's knee seemed to extend in a way that knees are not made to extend. He left the game and will be evaluated tomorrow. This undoubtedly kills Versteeg's trade value, as the forward has been rumored to be one of the players that the flailing Panthers are open to selling at the trade deadline.
