Predators vs. Flames: Pekka Rinne pulled after giving up 2 goals in first 8 minutes

It’s the second consecutive game Rinne has been pulled early from.

Things are not going well for the floundering Nashville Predators. They've struggled to score goals all season long, but at least they have Pekka Rinne, right?

As it turns out, even Rinne is not immune to whatever is ailing the Preds.

Head coach Barry Trotz pulled Rinne out of Friday's game after the Calgary Flames put up two goals on two shots in the first eight minutes of the game.

Chris Mason replaced him in net. Remember that Rinne was pulled on Thursday after allowing four goals on 12 shots in Vancouver.

So all in all: six goals on 14 shots in two games. Not good. And now the Preds face an uphill battle in Calgary.
