Marc-Andre Fleury injury: Penguins goalie leaves game after collision with Brian Gionta

The Canadiens captain bowled over Fleury in the second period.

The Penguins have been busy stockpiling for a playoff run, but that might not matter if their franchise goalie is out for a long period of time.

Marc-Andre Fleury was injured in the second period Wednesday when Brian Gionta caused a collision at the Pittsburgh net. As Fleury went to cover the puck, Gionta knocked Tyler Kennedy into the netminder as the two were skating in off the rush. It appeared as if Kennedy made hard contact with Fleury's head, knocking him over in the process.

Fleury stayed on the ice for the rest of the second frame after shaking off the injury, but he hasn't returned for the third period after intermission. Tomas Vokoun has replaced him in net for the time being.
