After a weekend conditioning stint in Grand Rapids in which he scored two goals in two games, he’s virtually on fire now. Weiss scored two goals in 26 games last season - his first with the Detroit Red Wings after he signed a five-year, $24.5 million deal in the summer of 2013.

The last time Crosby went two or more games without a point was a five-game scoreless streak that stretched from Oct. 31-Nov. 10, 2009. Sure, he’s had some stretches missing time with injuries, but that’s still over five years ago. We should all have such droughts in life.
