Through two periods in Boston on Thursday night the Montreal Canadiens were doing the same thing they did during the regular season.
Carey Price robs Jarome Iginla
The Price is wrong, Jarome.
Capitalize on the few chances they did get, and then ask Carey Price to stop a lot of shots.
The Canadiens went into the third period with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from P.K. Subban and Rene Bourque and the 22 saves Price made. None of those saves were bigger than this pad stop on a wide open Jarome Iginla on a late second period power play.
Sure, there’s an element of luck there that Iginla didn’t get an elevation on the shot, and then missed the empty net on the rebound, but it still looks good.
