One of the more depressing (and underreported) stories out of the early NHL season is the plight of Carolina Hurricanes defenseman James Wisniewski.

The veteran was traded from the Ducks to the Hurricanes this summer after suffering through a few injury-plagued seasons in Columbus. And just 47 seconds into his career in Carolina, he tore his left ACL and was done for the season.

That was terrible news. The good news? “Wiz” got out of surgery on Tuesday morning and felt well enough to put stickers on his face, apparently.

Something tells us his daughter Sadie is to blame for both the sticker and the hair.
