Nine times out of ten, Max Domi buries this gift wrapped puck past Predators netminder Pekka Rinne. The Coyotes young forward had space and time, but the stick of Rinne saved this potential goal on a remarkable diving stop.
Pekka Rinne made a spectacular stick save with the puck on the goal line
A millimeter further in and this is definitely a goal.

— NHL (@NHL) December 2, 2015 The biggest point of contention is whether or not the puck fully crossed the goal line before Rinne got his stick on it. The puck was on edge the entire time, which made it extremely difficult to tell whether or not it went all the way across. The call of no goal was made on the ice, so there had to be substantial evidence to overturn, which the officials did not find. If Rinne's stick was angled just a bit differently, Domi might have had the goal, as the stick stops the puck at the last possible second.
