NHL schedule 2015: Senators, Kings fight to improve postseason odds
The pressure is on for Ottawa and Los Angeles.

Coming off their second title in three years, the Los Angeles Kings have just six contests left to supplant the Winnipeg Jets for the Western Conference's final wild card spot. Certainly, a victory tonight would do wonders for their chances.
LA, two points back of Winnipeg with a game in hand, will host the lowly Oilers this evening in their second-to-last meeting of 2014-15. Edmonton will partake in the second half of a back-to-back after falling to Anaheim on Wednesday.
In Canada's capital, the Senators find themselves in a similar, albeit less promising, situation. After losing three straight last week, Ottawa cannot afford to lose this evening when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning. According to SportsClubStats.com, the Sens have a 28.5 percent chance of making the playoffs, and that percentage is bound to change significantly by Friday morning. A win would put them one point behind the eighth-place Bruins if Boston loses to Detroit in regulation; a loss could all but seal their fate.
