With uber-prospects Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel up for grabs at the top of the NHL Entry Draft this year, the term "tanking" has become an integral part of the hockey lexicon as fans of the Buffalo Sabres and Arizona Coyotes hope for their teams to fail consistently.
NHL Shop tweets joke about ‘tank wars’ they’re not supposed to talk about
Because, you know, the NHL hates tanking talk.

The NHL is obviously aware of this, and they don’t like it. They think it’s embarrassing. If fans aren’t going to at least discuss ways to fix the draft lottery, they’d rather nobody mention tanking at all.
SO MUCH FOR THAT.
How long until this tweet is deleted? pic.twitter.com/zt5PN9W2S6
