Just moments after a DJ Campbell miss that should have put the Tangerines ahead on West Bromwich Albion, James Morrison has scored to hive the home team a 2-1 lead over Blackpool. The second half has been spectacularly wide open so far, with both teams having chance after chance, really getting the crowd into the match. Every touch is being met with wild cheering or concern at The Hawthorns.
West Brom Vs. Blackpool: Baggies Lead Through James Morrison Goal
The goal was assisted by Jerome Thomas officially, though Blackpool and Ghanaian international goalkeeper Richard Kingson should probably get credit as well. Thomas did extremely well to get to the byline on the left hand side and sent in a low cross, but Kingson should have been able to deal with it. Instead, the keeper barely got a hand to the ball and it fell to Morrison for a tap-in finish.
Ian Holloway has made a reactionary substitution, bringing on Matthew Phillips for Eliot Grandin. It’s a very attacking change in a game that already has a lot of up and down play and shaky defending.
