Just when you start to think Chelsea have completely lost the plot, a large Serbian steps in to take the match by the horns, with Branislav Ivanović putting the Blues ahead 1-0 over Blackburn Rovers. Florent Malouda, taking Chelsea's seemingly hundredth corner, swung the ball in to John Terry, who headed the ball over to Ivanović. The defender shook off two Rovers men, muscling himself away before sending the ball through the tangle and on past goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

Just a couple minutes later, Ivanović again played the hero as Blackburn took the ball toward the Chelsea goal, the right back getting back to knock the ball away from Martin Olsson. While the Blues forwards continue their struggle to find the net, one has to wonder why a team relying on its defenders for goals refuses to shake up the starting XI. After the recent bright performances of Daniel Sturridge and Josh McEachran, it seems the logical thing to do.
