Blackburn Rovers came back from 2-0 down at home to Blackpool to share the spoils in a hotly contested match. The visitors welcomed the inspirational Charlie Adam back from suspension and looked set to take the game by the scruff of its neck when Howard Webb awarded a penalty for Ryan Nelson's dubious foul on Gary Taylor Fletcher, which Adam coolly slotted past Paul Robinson, and the Tangerines doubled their lead on another set piece mere moments later, again via Adam, whose glorious free kick dropped cheekily into the top corner and left Robinson staring at the ball in horror.
Blackburn Rovers Vs. Blackpool: Junior Hoillet Injury Time Equaliser Earns Hosts A Point
It's not really in Blackburn's character to go down without a fight, however, and as Blackpool began to tire in the second half the chances started to flow for the Lancashire side. Steven Nzonzi's 15 yard shot flew wide shortly after the restart, but the danger was not heeded by Blackpool and Chris Samba's goal cut their lead in half shortly thereafter. Blackburn spent the rest of the match chasing, but they were eventually rewarded for their efforts when Junior Hoillet took advantage of Richard Kingson's awful error in the 93rd minute of the match to earn his side a 2-2 draw.
