Sporting Kansas City might have an excellent attack but they really could do with work on their set piece defence. Chivas USA have gotten another goal back, against cutting the deficit to one goal. Ben Zemanski, the man whose mistake gave C. J. Sepong the chance to notch his second-minute goal, has scored after a corner was only half cleared and pumped back into the box. Zemanski found himself onside (in a form of sweet revenge for the midfielder, Sepong was the player who kept him on) in acres of space and one on one against Jimmy Nielsson, and he made no mistake in his finish to make the score 3-2 and give us an incredibly interesting finish.

It’s probably too little too late for Chivas, though. They only have five minutes, including stoppage time, to get the goal that would level the match, and unless they get another set piece around the Kansas City box that doesn’t seem too likely. Still, there’s just one goal in it and the visitors will be very very nervous now...
