On the plus side for Wojciech Szczęsny, he didn't concede a goal against Barcelona at the Nou Camp, something very few goalkeepers can say. On a more negative note, he barely managed to play a quarter of an hour. After getting behind a rather hefty free kick powered in by Dani Alves, the Polish goalkeeper had to be treated for what appears to be a finger injury, and he's had to come off for the notoriously erratic Manuel Almunia. Hardly great news for Arsenal fans, that.

In the meantime their side is making more progress in winning the ball against their illustrious hosts, although they're still not exactly playing in a manner that will worry Barcelona. It's just a little more difficult in recent minutes for the home side to play through the centre, and they're having to use Dani Alves as an outlet for long passes more than I suspect they'd like. Javier Mascherano in particular is having difficulty threading passes through the Arsenal midfield, but he's doing an excellent job winning the ball back whenever Barcelona lose it (which is infrequently).
