There's a real chance for Barcelona's David Villa, fed by Xavi with a diagonal pass between Bacary Sagna and Johan Djourou that ripped open the Arsenal line. He had just enough distance on Djourou to get a shot away, but the centre half closed the ground well and put enough pressure on the striker to force him into a poor shot, which ended up going straight to substitute goalkeeper Manuel Almunia for the easy save.
FC Barcelona Vs. Arsenal FC, 2011: Almunia Rescued After Error; Adriano Hits Post
Life wasn't so straightforward for Almunia the next time Barcelona came forward - Samir Nasri cut out a cross attempt and gave to to the goalkeeper for a backpass, but Almunia's clearance bounced off the back of Laurent Koscielny's head and caused absolute chaos in the Arsenal area - phenomenal work by Jack Wilshere eventually got it clear, but Villa (via a brilliant pass) and Adriano combined to hit Almunia's right-hand post less than a minute later. Arsenal are hanging on here, and they've picked up another yellow card; this time it's Wilshere going in the book.
