Man, “No Pity In Rose City” is a pretty classic chant, and it’s very smart of them to include it in many of the team’s promos. It seems like the back-office people have made all the right moves heading into the home opener.
From all appearances, the organization has done a remarkable job of turning their stadium into one of the better MLS facilities. Right now, I still think the on-field product is a bit lagging, but as new teams go, there’s definitely stuff to like. Definitely have to give them credit for announcing a couple quality friendly opponents (America and Ajax), as well as landing a Designated Player just a day before the opening of Jeld-Wen Field. Thursday really looks like it’s going to be the continuation of a fun era in the Pacific Northwest.

SB Nation has already gone on record as proclaiming Jeld-Wen Field to be the best “stadium situation” of any in MLS. While that still remains to be seen, it’s hard to dispute that it should be among the best.
