Portland Timbers’ Refurbished Jeld-Wen Field Looks Like A Jewel
Stumptown Footy, SB Nation's Portland Timbers blog, has been documenting the massive refurbishing of Jeld-Wen Field all offseason. After months of work, it's finally ready to host games, which is exactly what it will do on Thursday when the Timbers break in their new jewel of a stadium with a match against the Chicago Fire. In case you just can't wait, Stumptown Footy has plenty of pictures to give you an idea of what to expect:
I'm still putting together some articles from today's media event and interviews, but, in the mean time enjoy these delicious photos I snagged while rummaging throughout the stadium. Everything looks absolutely gorgeous and the construction crews, architects and Portland Timbers FO should be commended for delivering a stadium as nice as ours.
SB Nation has already gone on record as proclaiming Jeld-Wen Field to be the best “stadium situation” of any in MLS. While that still remains to be seen, it’s hard to dispute that it should be among the best.
