Palermo Vs. Napoli: Edinson Cavani Sinks Penalty In Second Minute

Edinson Cavani has scored his 26th goal in Serie A this season, converting a penalty in the second minute against his former club Palermo. And what a foolish, foolish penalty to give away, as well. Mattia Cassini, standing in as captain for Fabrizio Miccoli, panicked when he saw Cavani running toward the ball at the edge of the area. The defender blatantly reached for the ball and palmed it out of play, leaving the referee with no choice but to show a yellow card and award the penalty. Cavani, who saw his penalty attempt saved last week against Udinese, easily put the ball in the back of the net to give the visitors a very early lead.

Of course, this almost makes the match more nerve-wracking for Napoli fans, who now have to attempt to breathe for the next 88 minutes, hoping their team don't manage to lose the early lead or any of the points.
