It's halftime at the City of Machester Stadium, and the hosts are 1-0 ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and looking as though they're on the verge of clinching a coveted Champions League place for next season. Manchester City started extremely brightly, with Edin Dzeko smashing a good chance right into Spurs goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, but the vsitors replied by attacking down the right, where Aaron Lennon appears to be too much for Pablo Zabeleta to handle.
Manchester City Vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Hosts Lead 1-0 At Halftime
That spell of Spurs pressure proved to be temporary, however, and it wasn't long after Luka Modric came close to giving Harry Redknapp's side the lead that City scored through an own goal by Peter Crouch following a well-worked short corner smashed into the six yard box by James Milner. Wilson Palacios has been forced off for Tottenham, and they may be looking at further injury problems with William Gallas having to be treated for a hamstring problem late in the half. He returned to the field heavily strapped up, but it's unclear how long he'll be able to go on in the second half.
