Although a 2-1 loss at Goodison Park hardly spells the end of Manchester City's hope of finishing in the top four this season, it certainly isn't what Roberto Mancini will have been hoping for out of his side's trip to Everton. City dominated the first half and went deservedly ahead through a thunderous shot by Yaya Toure which one has to imagine Tim Howard was happy he didn't get near for fear of serious injury, but Everton switched things up and came storming back in the second half.
Everton Vs. Manchester City Final Score: Toffees Mount Come-From-Behind 2-1 Win
Sylvain Distin levelled with a header from a neat free kick from Mikel Arteta, and from then on the momentum was always with the hosts. They went ahead six minutes later thanks to a marvelous goal from Leon Osman, who somehow turned a routine cross into a brilliant glancing header that flew in at the far post, leaving Joe Hart with no chance whatsoever. 2-1 is an excellent result for Everton, but Manchester City are now just seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fourth (Spurs have a game in hand) - and they host Harry Redknapp's merry marauders on Tuesday. It's getting tight again...
