Things looked like they might get interesting again at the Britannia stadium for all of a minute. Arsenal halved Stoke City's lead through their first shot on target, which was a decently hit effort from Robin van Persie that was very close to the centre of the goal and one which Asmir Begovic should have done much better with. 2-1 with ten minutes left to play was doable for Arsenal, who've looked more lively with Nicklas Bendtner and Maourane Chamakh on the pitch, but 3-1 was not, and that was the score within sixty seconds of van Persie's goal.
Stoke City Vs. Arsenal: Teams Exchange Goals Inside 1 Minute; 3-1 Stoke
Johan Djourou made an appalling defensive error in cutting out a weak shot which Wojciech Scszesny had well covered and passing it straight to Jonathan Walters eight yards from goal. A wrong-footed Scszesny could only watch in horror as the striker restored Stoke's two-goal margin with a thumping effort into the back of the net. It's 3-1 Stoke and Arsenal are toast.
