Fulham Vs. Liverpool: Maxi Notches His Hattrick, Luis Suarez Adds Another

So much for that comeback. Maxi Rodriguez has a hattrick (again!) and Luis Suarez has added another to make the score 5-1 Liverpool. Both goals were brilliant, in completely different ways, Maxi's goal coming from long range after a persistent run through the centre of the pitch, the midfielder shifting the ball onto his right foot and smashing past Mark Schwarzer from 25 yards.

Suarez, on the other hand, was the beneficiary of an excellent through pass by Jonjo Shelvy, who had come on for Raul Meireles shortly after halftime. The Uruguayan managed to round Schwarzer and dump the ball into the net in the same fluid movement, and any hope whatsoever of Fulham making up the deficit are well and truly gone. aside from that spell shortly after halftime, the hosts have been third or forth best, an impressive feat when there are only two teams on the pitch. Magnificent performance by Liverpool, and the impending points are well-deserved.
