Carlos Tevez doesn't sound like a man particularly keen on staying with Manchester City. Although City have insisted that Tevez wants to stay and that they won't be losing their club captain, well, quotes from the Tevez camp suggest otherwise:
Manchester City Transfer Rumors: Carlos Tevez Claims He’ll Be Allowed To Leave
Sheikh Mansour has made a lot of sacrifices to keep me and if I stay at City, it will be for him. He signed me, he wants to keep me but, at the same time he has told me to do whatever I need to do to be happy.
He has told me: ‘If you want to leave, then you can go.’ There is no deadline – it’s down to me. They offered me a new contract in December but I didn’t want to extend it. At the end of the season they offered me another new deal but at the moment I don’t know whether I will accept it.
Tevez has also slammed the Manchester City board for failure to keep promises and has said the only person he’ll deal with is the owner. With the striker increasingly demanding a move abroad to a place where he can be with his family, it doesn’t look as though his protests are to do with a raise. Bad news for Manchester City indeed.
