Santos Laguna Vs. Olimpia, CONCACAF Champions League: Quintero Adds To Santos Lead

It's all going wrong for Olimpia now. They tried so hard to keep Santos Laguna from scoring in the hopes of taking a scoreless draw home to Honduras for next week's second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League preliminary stage tie. That plan has failed though with Santos now having scored three goals in an hour at home. Oribe Peralta scored the first, Juan Rodriguez scored the second and now Carlos Darwin Quintero has scored a great goal to make it 3-0 Santos.

Quintero’s goal came just two minutes after Rodriguez made it 2-0 in another shock to Olimpia. The striker got a high ball played up to him and he took a great first touch to settle it, then off of the bounce he ripped a great shot from 25 yards. The ball beat the keeper and just squeezed inside the post for the goal that has put Santos in complete control of the tie.
